School Dress Code
For safety, footwear that provides a firm walking surface, good balance and protects the foot from injury must be worn. Therefore, loose, untied laces or straps, flip-flops, slides, sneakers with wheels, slippers or any footwear that poses a safety hazard are not permitted in school or during gym class. Sandals that fit snuggly and have a heel strap attached may be worn but some playground activity may be restricted.
Hoods and hats are not permitted to be worn inside of the school building during school hours unless it is a designated school event. In situations in which health and/or safety factors become critical such as temperature variations in the building, temporary modifications of the dress code may be necessary and will be established before the activity by the classroom teacher and/or building principal such as: special events, in physical education classes or on field trips.
