Parent and Community Involvement

At J. Harvey Rodgers School, we value the strong partnerships we build with families and the wider Glassboro community. We believe that family involvement is essential to student success, and we are proud to offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year for families to stay informed, connected, and engaged in their child’s early learning journey.

Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC)

The Early Childhood Advisory Council serves as a collaborative platform for families, staff, and community stakeholders to support and strengthen our Preschool Program. These meetings are designed to promote open communication, gather input on student and community needs, and offer families a voice in shaping the direction of our early childhood initiatives.

The Council meets four times per year and provides an opportunity for meaningful dialogue around how we can better serve the students and families of the J. Harvey Rodgers Preschool Program and the greater Glassboro community. All ECAC meetings are held in person at J. Harvey Rodgers School, with a virtual option available, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

These evenings are typically structured as "working sessions" facilitated by our Preschool and Kindergarten staff, and are designed to strengthen the home-school connection through active participation.

Each event runs from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and all families are encouraged to attend.
