Parent and Community Involvement
At J. Harvey Rodgers School, we value the strong partnerships we build with families and the wider Glassboro community. We believe that family involvement is essential to student success, and we are proud to offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year for families to stay informed, connected, and engaged in their child’s early learning journey.
Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC)
The Early Childhood Advisory Council serves as a valuable forum for community collaboration and family engagement. Its purpose is to bring together stakeholders to share ideas, provide feedback, and make recommendations that support the needs of our students and the broader Glassboro community. Through open communication and active participation, the council works to strengthen our Preschool Program and enhance the services we provide to children and families. Each session is based on feedback from a Family Needs Assessment conducted at the start of the school year and focuses on relevant topics chosen by families and staff.
Workshops are held virtually from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and led by our knowledgeable preschool team.

Family Engagement Nights
Family Engagement Nights are exciting, hands-on learning experiences where students and families come together to explore and have fun with age-appropriate academic activities. These evenings are typically structured as "working sessions" facilitated by our Preschool and Kindergarten staff, and are designed to strengthen the home-school connection through active participation.
Each event runs from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and all families are encouraged to attend.
