Celebrations
We value celebrating special occasions with our students, but we do so in ways that ensure safety, inclusivity, and minimal disruption to learning.
Food Items: Parents and guardians are asked to limit how often food items are sent to school for birthdays or other celebrations. If you choose to send a treat, it must be prepackaged. Contact your child’s teacher in advance so they can consult with the school nurse about potential food allergies.
Non-Food Items: For safety and transportation reasons, flowers and balloons are not permitted in school and are not allowed on the bus.
Classroom Visits: Parents and guardians are not permitted to enter classrooms to celebrate birthdays or other special occasions.
School-Wide Events: Classroom and school-wide celebrations, such as holiday parties or end-of-year activities, will be planned by teachers in accordance with school guidelines. Families will be informed in advance if there are opportunities to contribute items or volunteer.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all students during celebrations.
