What About Health Benefits?
Do you participate in GPSD health benefits? If so, review the paid leave and/or unpaid leave outlines below so you have a clear understanding of how this process works.
Employee Paid Leave:
Medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage will continue during an employee paid leave.
Employee will continue to have minimum premium payments deducted from their paycheck.
Employee has the option to drop insurance benefits while on an extended leave, with benefits reinstated upon returning to work.
Employee Unpaid Leave:
Medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage will continue for up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave.
Employee must continue to make minimum required premium payments using the benefit premium statement provided by Human Resources.
Failure to make such payments will result in termination of benefits.
Employee has the option to drop insurance benefits while on an extended leave, with benefits reinstated upon returning to work.
