Assistant Principal's Page

Mr. Tim Hagerty

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to share my excitement that I have accepted the assistant principal position at Dorothy L. Bullock School.  After having the opportunity to tour the school, meet a lot of the staff, and some of the students, I can undoubtedly say that Bullock School is already in a great spot.  This is a massive credit to the teaching staff, Principal Marchese, Assistant Principal Martin, and of course, all of you!  I hope to add to the positive and energetic dynamic of Bullock School starting in September.

Growing up in Glassboro, I had the opportunity to attend Bullock School in my early elementary years.  I have many fond memories of my time there, including after-school activities such as science fairs and basketball games in the Bullock gym.  I then continued my education through the Glassboro school system until I graduated from Glassboro High School.  After high school, I continued my education at Rowan University, graduating with a mathematics and education degree. During my time at Rowan University, I worked at the Glassboro Boys and Girls Club, which was my first experience working with the kids of Glassboro. It was such a positive life experience for me.

Following graduation, I was fortunate to get hired as a math teacher at Glassboro Intermediate School, where I would teach for eight years and eventually transferred to teach math at Glassboro High School.  While at both schools, I worked with phenomenal teachers and administrators who helped mold me into the educator I am today.  Throughout my tenure as a teacher, I also had the opportunity to be an assistant basketball and head football coach at the high school.

These experiences inspired me to pursue my certificate to be an administrator.  I enrolled in Rowan University’s Master of Arts in school administration program and graduated in May of 2022.

Glassboro has always been home to me.  This town and school district has greatly impacted my life and helped mold me into who I am.  There are not enough words to express my gratitude to the people of this town and this school system for everything they have done for me.  When the opportunity presented itself to become an administrator in the district I call home, I could not have submitted my name as an applicant any quicker.  I want to thank Dr. Silverstein and the board of education for allowing me to give back to the people of Glassboro as a teacher and now as my future role as an administrator.

I cannot wait to start working with all the staff, the parents, and most importantly, all the students at Bullock School. I hope all of you have a great summer!

All the best! Go Bulldogs!

Mr. Sean Redman

Dear Bullock Families,

It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Assistant Principal of Dorothy L. Bullock Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to help lead a school with such determined students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students, staff, and families.

I have had the pleasure of growing up in Glassboro and being taught by professional and dedicated staff like we have today. I have achieved great success because of my positive experiences in Glassboro Public Schools. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than thirty years. I have worked with students ranging in age from kindergarten through 12th grade in a variety of roles. I have been a substitute teacher (Academy Street School), Student Assistance Counselor, Assistant Director at an alternative school, and Assistant Principal for 21 years. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educator and leader to Bullock School and to work with you as a partner in education.

I view education as a constant process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Dorothy L. Bullock. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to link my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our students because the relationships between teachers, administrators, and families are crucial to the success of our students and school.

I look forward to meeting you all and working with the students, staff, and community partners to achieve our goals for the 2024-2025 school year. Warm regards for a successful school year!

Assistant Principal
