In January 2024, J. Harvey Rodgers School received Honorable Mention as a State School of Character for 2024. 

In April 2024, J. Harvey Rodgers School was one of two schools in the state named as a Demonstration Site for the Preschool Inclusive Education Project by Montclair State University.
