Students and ensembles include: (above, back row, left – right) Emma O’Brien (11th grade, viola, All South Jersey Senior High School Orchestra), Meghan Holman (10th grade, viola, All South Jersey Senior High School Orchestra), Douglas Tranz (ninth grade, trumpet, Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band), Anna Holland (ninth grade, alto clarinet, Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band), Logan Stockl (ninth grade, bassoon, Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band and All South Jersey Senior High School Symphonic Band); (above, front row, left-right) Hannah O’Brien (12th grade, All South Jersey Chorus), Brenna Somdahl-Sands (ninth grade, clarinet, Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band), Alicia Petrany (11th grade, clarinet, Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band), Mayooran Mohanakanthan (10th grade, tenor saxophone, Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band); and (not pictured) Jillian Smith (ninth grade, All South Jersey Senior High School Orchestra). At Glassboro High School, the students study under the direction of Band Director Art Myers, Choir Director Elisa Contrevo, and Orchestra Director Hester Hasheian.

Many of these students are members of the Glassboro School District’s Fine and Performing Arts, Biomedical or STEM academies. Through partnerships with Rowan University and Rowan Community Music School, the academies offer opportunities for advanced instruction.

The Olympic Conference Senior High Honors Band members will play in concert at Washington Township High School on January 30 at 7:30 p.m. Hannah O’Brien will sing in the 61st Annual South Jersey Choral Directors Association (SJCDA) Choral Festival at Washington Township on January 26 at 8 p.m. and January 27 at 4 p.m. Earlier this month, All South Jersey Senior High School Orchestra members played in the Senior High and Junior High Orchestra Concert at Rowan University, and Stockl performed in the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert, also at Rowan University.
