Glassboro High School Musicians Achieve All South Jersey Honors

Glassboro High School Band Students Achieve All South Jersey Honors

 

Glassboro High School band members Alicia Petrany, Mayooran Mohanakanthan, and Logan Stockl (above, second from left – far right) achieved All South Jersey honors in competitive auditions this school year. They are pictured with GHS Band Director Art Myers. Petrany, a high school senior and Glassboro School District STEM Academy member, earned the top score for those auditioning on the Eb clarinet and the ninth highest score out of 51 other students on the Bb clarinet. She earned placement in three All South Jersey concerts: the All SJ Senior High Orchestra, the All SJ High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, and the Chamber Ensemble. Mohanakanthan, a junior and a Glassboro School District Biomedical Program member, was one of only two tenor saxophonists selected for the All SJ High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert. Stockl, a sophomore bassoonist and Glassboro School District Fine & Performing Arts Academy member, earned placement in the All SJ Senior High Orchestra and All SJ High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band concerts. (Two Glassboro High School orchestra students, Emma O’Brien and Meghan Holman - not pictured, were also selected for the All SJ Senior High Orchestra.)
