Glassboro High School Hosts Its 79th Annual National Honor Society Ceremony/Inducts 15 New Members

Glassboro High School continued a proud tradition of honoring student scholars on October 18 when it inducted 15 students into the Glassboro Chapter of the National Honor Society. This year marked the 79th Annual Induction Ceremony for the chapter. The chapter inducts students based on scholarship, character, leadership and service. Those characteristics are known as the four pillars of the NHS. Before students can be considered for membership, they need to have completed four high school semesters and achieve a Grade Point Average of 93 or above.

This year’s inductees included:  Alexis Barnhardt, Bethel Bichay, Morgan DiPatri, Hatice Seyda Emanet, Christian Figueroa, Aaron Harrison, Victoria Hazeley, Ruby Kelly-Keifer, Kyree Myers, Emma O’Brien, Alicia Petrany, Kali Pierson, Visha Puwar, Anahi Santiago, and Jade Wesley.

Chapter President Pariti Sutaria also recognized current members at the ceremony. Current members include chapter officers Alivia Beltran, Brenna Higgs, Athena Le, Madison Ridge, and Sutaria as well as Kathryn Appleby Wineberg, Sophia D’Anna, and Dominic Profico.

NHS advisor Alexis George and Dr. Danielle F. Sneathen, the principal of GHS, awarded membership certificates and pins at the ceremony. NHS members perform service activities in the school and community throughout the school year.
