National Honor Society
The National Honor Society is an honorary organization to which students are elected on the basis of four qualifications: Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. The function of the NHS is to provide service to the school community.
Students are eligible to apply for membership in the NHS in the 11th or 12th grade, given a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and participation in a variety of extracurricular organizations and service activities. The applicant must also present two letters of recommendation, excluding letters from teachers or family members. Inductions are held in the fall of an accepted applicant's junior or senior year.
