Welcome to Dorothy L. Bullock School!
Dear Parents/ Guardians:
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the Principal of the Dorothy L. Bullock School. In 2005, I was given the opportunity to begin teaching in the Glassboro School District as a first-grade teacher. During the first twelve years of my career, I had the pleasure of teaching in various grade levels and classrooms in both Bullock and Bowe School. In 2017, I was given the honor of becoming the Assistant Principal of the Thomas E. Bowe School. For four years I had the privilege of working with the students in our district focusing on restorative practices and relationship-building skills. I was able to develop my leadership goals, work with an incredible staff, and be a member of a tremendous leadership team. I am now beginning my fourth year as principal in a building where my career with this district first began. As a proud Glassboro School District Alumni, this community continues to hold a special place in my heart.
Another part of my life that I am extremely proud of is my family. My husband Ron, who is also a Glassboro School District Alumni, and I have been happily married for nineteen years. We have two amazing children, Marissa (18) and Aaron (16) along with our two dogs, Bailey and Gunner. We love spending time down at the Jersey shore relaxing on the beach and breathing in the fresh salt air.
A child’s experiences in elementary school will have a lasting impression on their growth and development. I look forward to continuing to work with our school community, parents, and amazing staff in 2023 -2024 and beyond, providing our students with opportunities to grow both academically and socially.
Please know that throughout the school year if there is anything I can do to assist you, do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Kelly Marchese
