Contact Information: (856) 652-2700 Ext. 5311
- Check student folders or papers that are sent home EVERY DAY for 'nurse visit notes'.
- If your child will be absent, please call the district phone number (652-2700) and select the school's absence line OR contact the nurse by email (email@example.com) to leave your child's name, classroom teacher's name, and reason for absence. Follow-up when your child returns to school by submitting a doctor's note or note from parent.
- Please keep your child's emergency contact information up to date. The nurse must be able to reach you if your child becomes ill or injured at school. Please make every effort to include contact information for someone that has transportation to pick up your child.
- Please provide a change of clothes in your child's backpack or classroom in the event your child's clothes become wet or soiled. Your child may be potty trained, but accidents of other types happen at school. Please send in some clothes!! :)
What's the 24 hour rule? This is a guide-line for keeping your child home from school when s/he has been ill. Your child should be fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication for a full 24 hours before returning to school. They should also remain home for 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea. Even if your child wants to return to school, they could still be contagious to others and have a weakened immunity. Your child should be eating & drinking normally and feeling up to all required school activity. Returning too soon exposes others to illness and causes inconvenience to parents who must be called to pick up their child.
