• Mrs. Budmen
    7th Grade Teacher
Adviser of the National Junior Honor Society
Welcome to a new and exciting school year! I graduated from Rowan University in 2005 with a Master's Bubs&Hilton degree in Special Education, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor's degree in American Studies. I am qualified to teach Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science. I started my teaching career at West Deptford Middle School, where I taught Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science at WDMS and Biology and Algebra I at WDHS. In 2007, I was hired to teach Math at GIS and have taught both seventh and eighth grade Math and Language Arts since my hire.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and fuzzy children. I have three cats (Gerald, Hoggle, and Jareth) and a yellow lab named Hilton. I am an avid reader and love Stephen King, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games Trilogy, and The Lord of the Rings. I am also a huge Star Wars fan! If I am not reading, then I am either going on a road trip or am playing video games. My favorite video games are Fallout, The Elder Scrolls series, and Bioshock.
I have been the adviser of the KIP Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society since 2010. During the 2018-2019 school year I will be teaching Western Civilizaiton with Mr. Schwarz, Unifed Science with Mrs. Montana, Math 7 with Mr. Bridges, and Language Arts 7 with Mrs. Meehan.
If you have any questions throughout the school year, please don't hesitate to contact me. The best way to reach me is through the school email, jbudmen@gpsd.us.
