     My Mission as a Teacher
    • Provide relevant and meaningful lessons for my students.
    • Inspire my students to discover joy in learning about their world.

    • Maintain a classroom that is safe, interesting, organized, and efficient.

    • Student-teacher in honors chemistry, college-prep. chemistry, and action chemistry, Spring 1983.
    • Teacher of physics and chemistry, September 1983 - Present (one year paternity leave of absence 1995-1996 school year).
    • Science department chairperson, September 1992 - June 1998.
    • Math & Science department chairperson, September 2001 - June 2005.
    • Science club advisor, September 1983 - 2010; 2018 - Present
    • Environmental Club/Science Club Co-Advisor 2010-2017.

     Academic Milestones
    • Graduated from Forrest Sherman American High School, in Naples, Italy, June 1979.
    • Attended Glassboro State College from September 1979 - May 1983; earned a B.A. in Physical Sciences and a New Jersey Teacher Certificate in Physical Sciences in May 1983.
    • From September 1986 through May 1991 attended the University of Pennsylvania, part time.  Earned an M.S. in Science Education in May 1991.
