WELCOME TO ENGLISH I

Students in the yearlong ELA I course will read a variety of texts such as I Am Malala, Romeo and Juliet and The Odyssey as well as others plays, short stories and poems. They will complete various written assignments that connect the literature to current issues as well as their own personal experiences. Students will learn a range of skills that will assist them in other academic classes, college, and future employment opportunities. Yearlong courses are designed to build a foundation of basic reading, writing and critical thinking skills as well as prepare students for high stakes tests.
