Mr. Andrew Pancoast

Mr. Pancoast began his tenure in 2011 at Glassboro Intermediate School where he taught Language Arts, Honors Language Arts, and Writing for grades seven and eight. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Pancoast served as a tutor for the Academic Bootcamp program, preparing students for the NJASK, PARCC, and NJSLA. In 2021, after thirteen years in the classroom, Mr. Pancoast was appointed Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction for English/Language Arts & Social Studies.

Originally a native of Philadelphia, Mr. Pancoast was raised in Cinnaminson, New Jersey and attended Cinnaminson High School where a few very influential teachers helped guide him toward a career in education. A voracious reader since childhood, Mr. Pancoast pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English at Rutgers University and sought to teach English/Language Arts at the secondary level. Upon graduation in 2008, Mr. Pancoast taught Language Arts and Enhanced Literacy for grades six through eight in Logan Township, New Jersey. He also taught English I and Writing Strategies at Capital Preparatory Charter High School in Trenton, New Jersey. Over the course of his career, growing interests in developing curriculum and assessments, improving instruction, and raising student achievement inspired Mr. Pancoast to pursue post-graduate work and a leadership role. He is thrilled to advance his career in the district that he has highly admired and called home for the past decade.

Mr. Pancoast and his wife, a passionate special education teacher, reside in South Jersey with their two sons. When he is not working, Mr. Pancoast enjoys Philadelphia sports, music, reading, traveling, and frequenting the Jersey Shore.
