Mr. Paul Albert
My name is Mr. Albert, and I am happy to have joined the Bulldog family here at GHS during the 2019-2020 school year. I was born and raised in New York in the Lower Hudson Valley and spent much of my childhood playing sports and spending as much time outdoors as possible. I have always had a deep yearning to understand more about the world around me, and I can recall being fascinated with the night sky at a very early age. While studying Astronomy as an elective in high school, I decided that I wanted to become a science educator. After 6 years of post-secondary education at Villanova University & Hunter College, I began my journey as a high school physics teacher. I now enter my 8th year of teaching here at GHS, and I feel extremely fortunate to have a job that enables me to encourage and nurture the curiousity of adolescents in the world, whether it be in something as small as an atom or something as large as a galaxy. I have many goals as a physics teacher, but first and foremost I feel it is my duty to ensure that you leave my class with more knowledge about the world, more skill in critical thinking, and more confidence in yourself and your abilities then when you walked in. In addition to being deeply committed to a life in education, I have a strong connection to the great outdoors. Some of my most memorable life experiences have been the result of hiking & camping in America's beautiful national parks. I hope this short auto-biography has given you a glimpse into who I am. I look forward to continuing to form new connections with my fellow Bulldogs here at GHS!
