Manners for Musicians:
Guidelines for how to "conduct" yourself in music class.
1) ALL people are musicians. Music is a combination of sounds and silences.
(Whether you're actively playing or resting and listening, you are part of the music.)
2) LISTEN!
(The most important skill for a musician is listening. Zip your lips and open your ears when others are sharing and when making music.)
3) Follow the leader/conductor.
A musician's job is to follow ALL instructions of the leader/conductor.
Students may sometimes earn the opportunity to lead an activity.
3) Be respectful!
- To yourself.
- To your fellow musicians.
- To the leader/conductor.
-To all genres (types) of music.
4) Always try your best!
(Music is better when made together.)
