• Hello and thank you for stopping by to visit my webpage!  I hope you find the information helpful.

My name is Amanda Brice, and I am the School Counselor at the J. Harvey Rodgers School.  I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University in Camden and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Wilmington University in Delaware.  This is my fourth year at the Rodgers School and my 15th school year with the Glassboro School District.  If you have older children, you may recognize me from the Bullock School where I was the counselor for 11 years!  I am looking forward to working with our Pre-K and Kindergarten students and I cannot wait to see what this new school year will bring!

As a School Counselor, my ultimate goal is to provide students with the tools they can use to meet their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.  It is my belief that all students have what it takes to be successful.  When working with students, I prefer to take an eclectic approach, adapting various counseling theories to my work.  Students and counselors come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences and all have unique personalities. Therefore, counseling approaches should be in sync with the individual needs of each student.  I emphasize a calm, patient, understanding approach when working through any situation.  I also place great importance on building a genuine, trusting relationship with my students.  Each year, I look forward to working collaboratively with my colleagues, students and their families!

I live in Gibbstown with my husband, Phil, and our two sons, Landon (10) and Cameron (7).  My family and I love to spend time outside enjoying activities like going to the beach, fishing and relaxing.  I also love to read!
