    Please note that the actual delay or closing announcement will ONLY be found on the main page of the website.

    CLOSING -- When schools are closed, ALL activities scheduled for that day and evening are CANCELLED.  Staff is generally NOT required to report, so all offices will also be closed.

     
    DELAYED OPENING -- If weather and road conditions will improve within an allotted timeframe, the district may elect to delay the opening of school rather than cancel it altogether.  In these cases a delay of either 1 or 2 hours will be announced.   

    When schools are delayed, ALL buildings will open either 1 or 2 hours later than the regular scheduled time. Students should report to their bus stops 1 or 2 hours later than normal.  For example, a 1 hour delay means the busses will come 1 hour later than usual.Lunch times will also be revised to ensure students are served lunch to meet the State of New Jersey's requirement for at least a 4 hour instructional day.
     

    If there is a delayed opening the Pre-K Program will run on the following modified schedule:

    • morning session will be from 10:00am-11:45am
    • afternoon session will be from 12:15pm to 2:00pm
