Message from the Superintendent:Welcome to Glassboro SchoolsDear Glassboro Resident:
Welcome to Glassboro Public Schools. We pride ourselves on offering curriculum, programs, and activities that place Glassboro children on the pathway to success.
In the 2021-2022 School year, we have begun to focus on our new Strategic Plan, which incorporates initiatives in Curriculum and Instruction, Facilities/Finance, and Strategic Engagement.
We are making plans to realign grades one - eight next school year, with first through fifth grade attending Dorothy L. Bullock School and sixth through eighth grade attending Thomas E. Bowe School. We are closing Glassboro Intermediate School next year in order to right size the district after several years of declining state aid and enrollment. This is a key part of our Strategic Plan.
During this school year, we are investing in kindergarten - third grade early reading texts, ELA and social studies texts for the secondary, level as well as various science and mathematics materials that pair with our science and Eureka Math frmework. Additionally, we continue to invest in our Learning Management Systems, such as Schoology, Seesaw, and IXL.
We are thrilled to be part of the Professional Development School network with Rowan University. This provides additional support in our classrooms and offers our faculty extensive professional development opportunities. We collaborate with Rowan University on our Fine and Performing Arts and STEM/Biomedical Academy and are also developing a Business Academy Program with Rowan.
Glassboro parents and residents are an important part of our district. We encourage parents and residents to attend concerts and volunteer their time in our district.
Dr. Mark J. Silverstein
